The Assistant (or Associate) serves as the right-hand man to the highest official in the institution, taking responsibility for supervising a specific sector of the institution's duties on behalf of the President or Dean.

🎯 Functions of the Assistant Dean/President for Scientific Affairs Office

The Scientific Assistant focuses on overseeing the academic and research aspects of the College/University:
* 1. Academic and Educational Affairs:
* Supervising study plans and curricula and following up on their development and updating.
* Monitoring the progress of exams and results in coordination with the departments.
* Supervising the library, its equipment, and the requirements of faculty and students.
* 2. Scientific Research and Postgraduate Studies:
* Following up on the Scientific Research Unit and supporting research projects.
* Overseeing Postgraduate programs (Master's and PhD) and monitoring the progress of students' theses and dissertations.
* Supervising the Scientific Promotions Unit and following up on the implementation of promotion instructions.
* 3. Faculty Affairs:
* Following up on the teaching load schedules for faculty members.
* Monitoring academic leave, sabbatical leave, and scientific conferences and seminars.
